| Overview |
MailStart is
the premier World Wide Web email access solution, providing free access to current e-mail
accounts from any computer with Internet access. The service includes all the tools
necessary to handle email, including send, reply, delete, and forward. Using the
standard POP3 protocol, MailStart acts as an intermediary between the visitors
browser and their mail server, translating the email into a series of web pages. It does
not remove any mail from the server unless it is deleted by the user during
a MailStart session, and all use of the service is
completely anonymous. The information gathering practices are outlined in a privacy
statement. Richard Sutherland and
Christopher Duxler founded MailStart in June 1997. It was acquired in June 1998 by
Brandmakers, Inc. |
